Due to a recent settlement between Netflix International B.V. and the Austrian Federal Chamber of Labor, some Netflix members with an Austrian account whose subscription fees were increased as part of the 2019 and 2020 price changes in Austria may be eligible for a refund in the form of a lump sum of €20 or €30.
Top - Who is eligible for a refund?
Eligible members receive an email from Netflix explaining how to request their refund. This email is sent to the primary email address that is associated with the relevant Netflix account.
Not all customers in Austria are eligible for this refund as it is related to the price increase in 2019 and 2020. If you did not receive an email from Netflix, you may not be eligible. If you do think you may be eligible, or no longer have access to your email, you can submit a request by completing a form and submitting the required documentation.
Top - How long do I have to submit a claim?
This settlement offer will expire on August 14, 2024, so please be sure to fill out the Refund Form before then.
Top - I submitted my refund request- what happens next?
Your submission will be reviewed and verified. Upon successful verification, your request will be marked as valid and will be queued for payment after the settlement period expires on August 14, 2024. If your form is incomplete or deemed deficient, you will receive additional information to fix any outstanding issues. If you do not respond to the request for additional information by September 13, 2024, your request could be rejected.
Top - How long will it take for me to receive my refund?
We anticipate sending refunds within 30 days of August 14, 2024, when refund requests will expire. Please note that this is an estimate and additional time may be needed to issue payments. If your submission was fixed after it was deemed deficient, your payment will be sent on a later date.

Top - Who will send the payment?
Your payments will be processed by Shieldpay Ltd (company no 10061792) which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority as an authorised payment institution (registration no 770210). The payout you will receive from Netflix will be showing as being sent from Shieldpay.
